OHV Trails in the Ozark National Forest
Welcome to Mack's Pines. Around us are hundreds of OHV Trails in the Ozark National Forest for ATV's, SxS’s, and Dirt bikes. Whether you are a diehard ATV rider to a family in a SidexSide, and anyone in between, you will want to ride our trails The pines for which we are named are some of the most beautiful you’ve seen, Be sure to bring your GPS, maps, and anything else that will help you navigate the area. There are several navigational apps available, but we recommend Avenza. The maps we recommend are the Motor Vehicle Use Map Big Piney District, Moccasin Gap Recreation Area, and Traveling the Backcountry, Ozark National Forest, Big Piney, RD. The scenery includes beautiful waterfalls, creeks/rivers, caves, wildlife, and plants or you want to challenge yourself on the multi-terrain trails, there is something for everyone. We are central to several 2, 3, and 4 hour motorcycle trips down beautiful scenic Hwy. 7. We have Cabins, RV and Camping Sites, a Cozy Café and a convenience store to enhance your stay. Please observe our 5 mph speed limit while on our property. Riding Information: Moccasin Gap is a trail maintained by the National Forest Service and requires a $3.00 per machine (bike or horse) per day fee, for the marked trails only. The permits can be purchased at the second pay box at the Moccasin Gap Trailhead fee box. That is the west side of Hwy 7 across from Mack's Pines. The permit is not required for all other trails in the Big Piney District. There is no parking fee if you are staying with us. Please observe our 5 mph speed limit while on our property. Our family owned recreation area is a full-service private campground that is located off of Highway 7 and is in between two trail systems. The OHV & ATV trails around us are unparalled. The Moccasin Gap Recreation Area is only 1.6 miles north on the west side of Highway 7 and has over 30 miles of marked trails and loops. Please note a Forest Service Permit is only required to ride the Moccasin Gap trails. The eastern side, known locally as Illinois Bayou, is located directly east of the campground. This side offers around 30+ miles of marked and looped trails and also, hundreds of miles of unmarked trails. We also offer parking for day riders. Read our review on RIDER PLANET.
