Welcome to Mack's Pines’ horseback riding in the Ozark National Forest. Around us are hundreds of the prettiest horseback riding trails in Arkansas. The pines for which we are named are some of the most beautiful you’ve seen, Be sure to bring your GPS, maps, and anything else that will help you navigate the area. There are several navigational apps available, but we recommend Avenza. The maps we recommend are the Motor Vehicle Use Map Big Piney District, Moccasin Gap Recreation Area, and Traveling the Backcountry, Ozark National Forest, Big Piney, RD. The scenery includes beautiful waterfalls, creeks/rivers, caves, wildlife, and plants. We’ve been told that we have one of the best stables around. We have Cabins, RV and Camping Sites, a Cozy Café and a convenience store to enhance your stay. Riding Information: Moccasin Gap is a trail maintained by the National Forest Service and requires a $3.00 per machine (bike or horse) per day fee, for the marked trails only. The permits can be purchased at the second pay box at the Moccasin Gap Trailhead fee box. That is the west side of Hwy 7 across from Mack's Pines. The permit is not required for all other trails in the Big Piney District. There is no parking fee if you are staying with us. Please observe our 5 mph speed limit while on our property.
